SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities or simply SWPS University is a private university in Poland affiliated with the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology and the Institute of Psychology, Polish Academy of Sciences. SWPS University was founded in 1996 by Andrzej Eliasz, Zbigniew Pietrasiński and Janusz Reykowski, former professors of the Institute of Psychology at the Polish Academy of Sciences.

SWPS University is one of the largest private universities in Poland. Over 16,000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students study at five campuses of SWPS University, located in major Polish cities, including Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, and Katowice.The institution has been formerly known, for statutory reasons, as Warsaw School of Psychology, Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Warsaw School of Advanced Social Psychology, and Warsaw School of Social Psychology. It has been a University since 2015.
