A major avenue famous for a number of notable buildings of a variety of architectural styles. It's popular with both locals and tourists who come to see the spectacular architecture.
The avenue is named after the Laietanii, the Iberian people who lived around Barcelona. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century in order to connect the Eixample neighbourhood with the waterfront.
There are many interesting sights located nearby - Grand Royal Palace, St Catherine's Market or the Palau de la Música Catalana. Don't hesitate and stroll down this street lined up with beautiful buildings.
