This marvellous fountain with water reaching to an unbelievable height of 140m has been one of Geneva's most famous landmarks for nearly 130 years now.
You can see it from many corners of the city centre and therefore use it for orientation. At night, it is beautifully lit up so stop by any time of the day - you won't be disappointed.
If you decide to walk close to the fountain down the stone jetty, be careful about the direction of the wind. You might end up soaked to the bone.
Opening hours differ depending on the month and day of the week - check the official website for details.
