West Princes Street Gardens

Local nameWest Princes Street Gardens
LocationCity of Edinburgh, UK

Come and enjoy the perfect place to rest after a long day of shopping at Princes Street. The gardens are situated right in the heart of the city, in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle.

The popular park was founded in 1876. Despite the railway being extended through a part of it, the park did not really change throughout the years.

In addition to the beautiful nature, there are several statues and monuments to marvel at along the south side of Princes Street. The most dominant of these is the Scott Monument, which is a spire built to honour Sir Walter Scott. Also, don't miss the Ross Fountain or the famous Floral Clock.

Dogs are welcome in the park but make sure to keep your pets on the leash all the time.
