Full-day Tour of Zurich

Make the most out of your day spent in Zurich with this itinerary and see all the top sights.

Your tour starts at the Zurich Main Station. Even if you don't take the train to Zurich, come see the charming neo-Renaissance railway station on your way to the Swiss National Museum. The art museum is housed in a 19th-century building designed in the style of French Renaissance city chateaus and it displays a range of wonderful artworks. After you explore the art collections, walk through the residential Schipfe District along the river and arrive at St. Peter's Church with its distinctive large clock face. Do not miss the chance to look inside the church as well, since the interior is beautifully decorated with painted murals in the Baroque style.

Cross the bridge to see the Grossmünster Church and Water Church and then go back to the Fraumünster Church. Built in 853, it boasts the biggest organ in the canton of Zurich. The church also houses a museum in the crypt, where you can learn about the Reformation in Zurich.

Finally, walk to the Parade Square and then straight to the picturesque Zurich Lake. Unwind after a long day and enjoy the outstanding view of the Alps.
