Hemisfèric was designed by Santiago Calatrava and built in 1998, as the first building of the whole arts and science complex.
Both the cinema and planetarium housed here use IMAX technologies, which create a truly interactive experience. Movies screened are usually somehow connected to the topics of astronomy, history and biology.
