If you are following the popular Golden Circle route, you should not miss Brúarfoss. Although this waterfall is quite tiny, you will surely be fascinated by its blue water and scenic surroundings.
The name, meaning "bridge over a waterfall", derives from a wooden bridge above the river Brúará, which is also the best place for taking photos of this splendid waterfall.
Unlike other waterfalls located along the road 355, this one is a bit harder to find, thus, less popular among tourists. Still, this hidden gem is definitely worth the trip, primarily for its vibrant colour and peaceful atmosphere. The road is accessible for smaller cars, there is no specially designated place for parking around this area.
