A symbol of peace and friendship between Germany and Japan, this wonderful teahouse brings a piece of the Orient to the heart of Munich.

The teahouse building itself is a gift, donated to the city of Munich by the city of Saporo, Japan, in 1972. Today, it is a popular part of the English Garden. You can even enjoy a proper Japanese tea ceremony here.

The tea demonstration begins at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. The demonstration takes about an hour. A little candy and a cup of tea are included in the service charge.
