This red medieval tower used to guard the Spittletor Gate which stood on the path to Schwabach. Today, it houses an intriquing garrison museum.

Built in the 14th century, the tower has a colourful history. During the Second World War, it served as a bunker. The garrison museum opened here in 2006.
